my new project!!!!

a few months back i was at a friends vacation house in up state ny and i stpped in this lil antique stop and noticed a 2door cherokee on the side of the building. i asked her how much she told me 250. i went out and looked at i more its a 1984 2 door xj with 60.000 miles on it but it is the 2.5 motor. the body has rust on it from the salt on the roads. few dents but i fell in love with it. she told me the only thing it needed is a clutch. she gave me the key and i cranked her over and she started right up . im pickin her up next weekend i cant wait. give me some suggestions on what to do with it.

I have a 1985 Pioneer, here is my plan:
* Replace 2.8 with 3.4 - DONE
* Upgrade 3.4 carb with fuel injection
* Replace rear Dana 35 with Dana 44
* Replace AX5 with AX15 or NV3550
* Install RE 4.5 SuperFlex lift
* Various other upgrades for strength and trail running
* Do lots of trips to lots of junk yards
* Pray for The money to do all of this

I think, and this is just my insane and idiotic opinion, that you should just take off all the body, and make it into a go-kart type thing. With a roll cage instead of a body.

If you have the shop to weld it i would go with that guy and just make it a full role cage type deal.
