To those still reading, I have the top shaped up so the next step is to cut the roof off, I just had to make sure everything was going to flow right before taking the plunge.

My old VW had a tray under the sunroof, from the factory and hoses at two corner that the out to the door jams to allow the water to drain.

I'm going out to the garage to toss a cutting disk on my angle grinder right now

I WILL cut my roof off, but I wanted a cage first and no money for the cage right now... or anything else for that matter.

I'm to excited for this! I am loving the fiberglass so much more than the plywood!

Can't wait to see the mounting, and weather proffing, and how it all works out for ya!

I have thought about just being lazy and going with something like this. It would only be possible if I get a f'n deployment, so I can make the big bucks though. Fingers are crossed....

Plan for tomorrow is too:

1) glue in new floor pans
2.) weld in new seat brackets
3.) cap the ends of the fiberglass where I had to cut

I am also going to just get the cap to fit and work my sealing plan around that.

I will probably upload a drawing for the t top junction, its going to be a marine plywood skeleton fiberglassed inside the top you guys see in the pics, i think it will work fantastic and have a great seal!!

I wish but i'm not a total machine, NEED to finish the floors and fab up some passenger seat mounts.

I want to have the top fit and fiberglassed by tomorrow afternoon. Then would come the channel bracing (mentioned some odd pages ago) then the cross brace and finally, the LATCHES!

I think ill get the channel bracing done by this weekend but ill have to pick at the roof crossmember and latches during next week.

I hope to have the project done before the april 29th weekend

I ended up spending a bunch of time on my floors today, also picked up a vinlye floor for it, SUPER rare and SUPER swwweeettt.

Anyways the top, I found this awesome garage door seal that will work perfectly with my top. Most importantly it will keep driving rain from getting in.

Anvil helping settle the floor
