Oh, and next order of opperations:

1.) paint floors
2.) finish edges of fiberglass top
3.) glue in channel bracing
4.) make mounting plates for roll bar (will have local shop bend bar for me)
5.) attach overlap to inside of top
6.) finish seals
7.) paint top
8.) have roll bar bent

Inside, its going to directly connect both b pillars, and help support the roof a little, prob have some padding on the top, for when it starts snowing again

Bought quite a few matrials today.

Got some knobs that hold the spares in the back of grand cherokees (which will hold the two tops together)

Bead seals (off the hatches of 3rd gen Grand caravans) which will be for the seprate t top pieces, where they meet.

3M door bead glue, industrial metal adhesive.

All I need now is some choice latches to hold the compounded top onto the roof, those are quite expensive (28 bucks a latch, I need 8!!!)

Still not THAT bad of an overall price even though the latches are a bit pricey, right? WELL worth it.

SWEET! I wish I had the balls to cut a hole in my roof.

edit: find a big piece of glass for the front and use that bed cover for the rear, jurassic park style. but it looks great

I want to work this top out first then will come the soft top and a lexan top eventually. Prob wont do a camper top.

(TTM I should have done the lexan first cause it would have been easiest)

Removeable Lexan top would be SWEET! THAT's what I want to see. Where do you get a piece that big? I know nothing about it.

Just got a new dog for this fight, its called Peel and Seal, a roofing sealer tape roll. I'm going to use it around the C-channels, should give them a trick look and deaden some sound.

15 bucks for 13 square feet!!!

NICE!!!!

Great job on the floors. Did you happen to the video I made of my front end noise? If not, go to my build thread, watch it and let me know if you have any ideas.
