My First XJ

Hey guys just got my first XJ so im new to this part of the forum, she's a BONE stock 1999 sport, auto, 4x4 with 174k miles, looking to do a mild lift and tires. Is there anything that i should know of as in easy/cheap mods? for example i know for the YJ's you could take off the trac and sway bars... Also i need a name for her if you guys could help me out! Happy Jeeping

If you want to massively improve your headlights get H4 conversion housings and a relay harness:

H4 Housings:
200mm H6054 H4 DOT EURO CONVERSION HEADLIGHTS KIT
(DOT approved if you live in a state with inspections) = $28 for 2
200mm H6054 H4 EURO CONVERSION HEADLIGHTS KIT (European "E code", better pattern but generally won't pass inspection) =$27 for 2

Relay Harness:
Putco 230004HW Premium Automotive Lighting Wiring H4 100W Heavy Duty Harness and Relay = $27

All together a little over $50 ($60-70 with shipping) and the difference is significant.

This^. Best results:minute of work ratio of any mod you will ever do.

RE3.5 and 31s will serve you well for a DD thats still very capable.

Drop the axles and swap rockjock 60s in there on Psc steering, 40s, lots of cutting, Eco cage, massive stinger, 4bt, atlas transfer case, 6in rock krawler long arm on coil overs. And I think that's it. Should be reliable. If you flip just roll it back over, and it shouldn't be too expensive.

I apologize, no sarcasm here. I am 6'2" and the rearview was always in my way before. I flipped it upside down so now it tucks up next to my headliner. Feels like my windshield got bigger and visibility out the back is improved too. Considering it takes 5 seconds to do, it really is a neat little trick, especially if you are on the tall side.
