Thanks didn't know that about the collar.

I dont think it should cause issues, Chrysler used to use 27 splines on a lot of the bigger engine cars, if they can handle a 360cu engine, it shouldnt have to much issues with 33's

You are going to break axle shafts before you rip off the splines. On a D35 the max I would go is 33's locked. Seen them snap in seconds while wheeling with locked 35's.

Thought he was taking about the D35, my bad. You can go up to 35's on a 8.25 with both spline counts. After that the shafts really begin to bend when torque is applied. Again, the shafts would be the bigger problem, not the spline count or thickness of it; even though the 27 spline is smaller in diameter then the d35.

Yeah, I wouldn't go 35's, you need to much lift, and/or a lot of trimming. If it was a trail only rig, i'd buy some baja fenders or just take them completely off

You can run 33's on 3'', just trim the fenders and get some flares. Im gonna do that with out the flares(for know). When I get paid im gonna try some 31's at stock height, and then trim my fenders if needed

Clean XJ man! They always look good with the trim removed. Which VW forum was it? My sister had a 2001 Jetta 2.0, the guys on the VWVortex forum seemed like a bunch of arrogant *******s who knew everything.

Haha yeah vortex peeps can be *******s(I was one) but I got banned from JettaJunkie, they're really cool people. They tried to tell me something when I posted about "street racing" so I told a mod to stop complaining on my thread. I instantly made a new account to troll with(they cant block my IP)
