My 96 XJ Sport

New to the Jeep world...and this forum. My brothers bought me this cheap. Plan on a budget lift, off road lighting and custom bumpers. Had some serious body cancer... my fab skills help...welder by trade.

Actually they do. This sat parked for 3 years... 4.0L 5 speed Sport. I've always wanted a Cherokee... now I've got one. Lots of work to do but I'm getting there.....

Finished welding up the floor, sealed it up, reinstalled interior. Installed an old Flowmaster & new o2 sensors. New gas tank. New rotors and drums included with brake system overhaul coming this weekend. Have to fix the leaky pinion seal too....
Oh boy did I open a can of #%$&...wheel cylinders shot, brake lines full of holes.... ripped out and replaced from master cylinder back, leaking axle seals replaced, welded a pipe thread bung over the cheapo rubber plug on the axle gear cover... plugging along and staying busy.

Just an update...on the road. Runs awesome. Great mileage as long as I keep my foot out of the intake. Looking forward to purchasing a 4" lift kit w/shocks & springs new in the box from my neighbor. He had a 95 XJ and sold it without installing it. Sweet for me !!
