Nice .. that will be sweet to see how your skid turns out ... I always thought about putting that under the 2x6 as the slider ... you could brace the 2x6 to the uni-body stiffener, and then cover it with the UHMV ... IDK .. just a thought I had a while ago

I don't see why that wouldn't work. People use it for boatsides often

And if you took a serious hit and broke one ... its easy to replace

Cut a wedge out from the bottom up, like this. l\___ then heat and a BFH, then weld it shut
