Just an update: The intake is louder but cruising on the interstate or around town it is not loud at all, WOT on the other hand is way louder. The one thing I didn't really expect is that there seems to be more power at the top of the RPM range. I am still trying to figure out if it is a real gain or just in my head.

edit: I also installed 6* shims and rebuilt my rear drive shaft so highway driving is much improved.

So I got a wild hair today and decided to wash and wax it.

edit: I also changed the oil and rotated the tires @~187,000 miles on the odometer.
