mud bog the XJ
 
hey folks i am taking the jeep to a mud bog at a local motorsports park in the a+ class and this is the first time doing this and i dont have a lift kit on the jeep yet so any helpful tips and tricks that'll get this thing across the bog and not getting stuck?

Keep your tires spinning and momentum up, after your done be sure to hose out brakes, bushings, pretty much whole under carriage to help prevent wear. Also dont go through water past the drivers headlight, your intakes right behind there and 4.0s dont like drinkin water lol

If you run a rod through the block your engine was already nearing end of life or you weren't maintaining it.

i am actually thinking about taking a cold air intake and make into a snorkel kit or run it through the firewall into the body of the vehicle

FYI... I don't know how big this mud bog is... but a stock XJ (open/open diffs assuming) has no business being in it...lol

Also... if you decide to do it, please make sure you have adequate recovery points :)
