what would you guys think if i picked up a '07 katmandu for $300? i wanna get into mountain biking real heavily, but i also do some jumps and drops. i have '05 dirt jumper 3's i'd put on it for that, i just need a pump for it so i could adjust if for the trails too (mainly for the uphill returns that i often find myself doing). it is a 21" frame, but i'm only like 5'8". i can pick up an '07 15" katmandu for $275, but i think that would be too small. i'm growing still and have alot more to do. what do you guys think? the 21" is white, and the 15" is brown. my current bike is a 22" frame, but i modified from ds to a hardtail, still though, i'm used to bigger bikes.

i dont have a picture of my bike but its a Giant Warp DS2. it has a Marzzochi front fork on it with 160mm disc brakes. its kinda heavy for a full suspension but for 700 bucks about 5 years ago it was a steal.

i think im going out to Brown County State park and taking the jeep and going mountain biking this sunday

Nothin special. I worked at REI so I picked up a Novara Aspen hard tail. Since I'm still fairly newb to mountain biking I opted for a cheaper entry level. It was between that and a Marin.

Exactly what I am looking at. Love the Boxxers man... I am running a set of RS Domain's, very happy with the performance for a low cost single crown, but the weight is a bit high. How are you liking the Scythe for all around riding, or is this just your DH/Park sled (looks like a race/DH kit on there)? My 07 Shore is my "everything" bike since I sold my Transition Preston FR "AM" bike.

Good to see this thread is still alive.

this bike is amazing it pretty much anywhere by that i mean it will pedal half decent up hill, the pro pedal on the new dhx 5.0 works great and a couple clicks on the compression on the boxxer combined with a un interupted seat tube for full length and pedaling up fromme is no prob and of course the light weight is nice as well, let me know if you coming this way we could do a wheelin/bike ride out of it.
