not a cherokee owner, but i own a TJ. i ride a spec'd specialized enduro. its an '06 so its geometry is like the sx trail. i have a 66 on it, mavic 823 tuybeless rims laced to dmr revolver hubs, and a marzochi tst r coil 8.75"x2.75". all in all, its an sx trail with 167 mm of rear travel vs. the sc's 170mm.

I have an undersized Giant Iguana hardtail that gets me from point A to B. I actually has a nice Manitou fork and o.k. disc brakes. I do need to upgrade.

I have an 08 Haro flightline one. Pretty nice beginner bike if I may say so. It looks real cool on the Jeep too. lol For on road use I have a 09 Trek 1.5. It's a nice bike too. I just wish work gave me more free time to enjoy them.

I'll have to get some pics some other time, sorry. My computer is almost 10 years old and the hard drive is pretty much full.

Wow, a lot of you out there...

I see a TON of Jeeps with bikes on them here and at the local trails, they get a good wave when they pass. I was thinking that I should have put this thread in the general discussion as most of the Jeeps I see are TJ/YJ/WJ etc.

I always thought that offroad people (as in those that like to go off the beaten path) would gravitate towards stuff like Mountain Biking, Hiking, Camping etc. Lets face it, most of us drive 4x4 because we like the woods.

I just wish i actually had time to get out in either my truck or on my bike these days.

so im goign to ask a question of you guys, and if i should start a new thread thats fine, but im shopping for MT bike tires

right now im running 26x2.3 kenda krads which i love for the road, so i plan on keeping them, i usually commute to school during the week and ride the trails maybe 1 weekend a month
i was looking at continental verticals, i need to keep things cheap, and the reviews are good
what do you all think
id be sticking with 26x2.3

I got a specialized hardrock. No pics unfortunately but I like it. Not bad for an entry level bike. I just wish the fork would go ahead and crap so i would have an excuse to upgrade.

Tough call... what type of terrain do you ride, dry and rocky, wet and sloppy, rooty and gnarly? I am a HUGE fan of the Kenda Nevegals, a great all around tire with the stick-E compound. They are however a bit expensive? If this is an XC rig, I used to love the Panaracer Fire XC Pro's back in the day, they are still around and are a good tire?
