@ donthelegend - I got word from another XJ guy in my local club that busted his rear glass last year. He said to pick up a 15' roll of 1/4" bead window-weld from O'Reilly's and use it to "glue" the fake window in. Worked great for him and it's pretty much leak proof.

I figure there's only one way to find out.

Edit: I think I'll keep this avatar for a while because I still chuckle at it too.

Man, that would be a great time. I will see what I can do. That comes just in front of a family trip to the gulf side of southern Florida - but I might be able to swing a few days at SMORR.

Just have to do some work on the misses =

It's been raining all week and with no back window the blue Jeep has been in the garage. So, I decided to pull the carpets:

....and just as I was afraid of - cancer:

Gonna take the grinder to it to see if I can hit good metal before seeing a hole. :O

I'm either going to bedline or rubberized undercoating.

What bedline did you use? I lined my old yj's tub with herculiner, getting ready to do the cherokee next and most likely will use the same product.

They sell herculiner in individual quarts for $30 or a gallon kit for $100 that comes with a sanding pad and roller brush. The gallon should be enough to lay down 2-3 coats and have some left over. Look around, Iv seen the kit on sale for cheaper since I used it last.
