Iv seen the skid in person, nicest skid Iv yet to see. It tucks up great and seems very strong. Its on my list of things to get once I find work

Awesome! I think I may actually buy it. What is the height to the bottom of your skid?

^^^ Just measured and it's 17.75" ground to lowest hanging section of the skid. I'm at 4.5" w/ 33's.

Nice build man!
Ive been considering those rear bumpstops here lately, need to address my rear flex. Could you tell a differance with the zj fan clutch swap? Whats does it benifit?

^^^ Thanks dude.

With the clutch and the hood spacers I notice my hood isn't roasting after driving around. I hadn't overheated but it would get pretty toasty. Now, it seems my operating temp rides around 5-10* under 210 (and I know the temp guage isn't THE most reliable to go by). The real test will be the next two weekends as I'm wheelin this bad boy next 2 Saturdays. Granted, the weather has cooled off since my last outing but the last two times I've hit the trails my efan kicks on constant by the end of the day on the trails.

The zj fan clutch pulls more cfm's through the rad as it spins at 80-90% of shaft speed as opposed to 60-70% that the oem XJ clutch does. I have been told by guys on my build on NAXJA that I'll have to keep an eye on the bigger clutch getting into the rad when I'm all flexed and everything gets torqued around under the hood. IDK.............again, this weekend will be a good test.

Oh ok i see now. Mine runs around 210 when wheeling and prob 10* cooler when driving. I want hiline's hood vents along with a mechanical gauge just for added comfort though. Lol
Im still trying to figure out how im going to make my pillar gauges i know i need a two pod for now, i want one for engine temp and the other for tranny temp.

No - I haven't. I still need to order one but it's kinda on the backburner for now. A couple weeks ago I swapped the spare front driveshaft I had with the front shaft that had some play in the slipshaft section. I thought of taking it to a driveline shop to see if it could be reworked. So, as of right now I don't even have a drive shaft to replace the rear.

BTW - I appreciate that. I think the winners have all been deserving though.

Maybe someday I can hold the title...................

Got out on the trails today. Had an awesome time. The hood spacers and ZJ fan clutch kept the temps in check today - no more nonstop efan by the end of the day.

Couple pics:

Check out the '88 Waggy that was in our group first part of the day:

Lunch break:

This spot got the best of me - had to get the winch off the TJ to keep me front end cinched down in order to climb out:

My brother took this - he thought it looked cool. Me too

The xj seems to be doing well offroad, climbed right up in the 2nd video! I have a feeling it will be a swamp next weekend (supposed to rain Thursday/Friday, then a chance of snow Saturday night).

Trent, this is at KS Rocks.
