You have the 27 spline. 97+ get the 29 spline.

Mine is a Dana 35 because it has ABS yours is Chrysler 8.25 if it was made pre 06/96 than it would surly be the 27 spline. You can find out the month by checking the vin #. If it was made after that then there is a little chance its a 29 spline. Only way to know for sure is pulling the shaft which would take some work, but hey when was the last time the fluid has been changed in it anyway.

Man I know you have been around longer than me and thanks for all the help but I am looking at it right now where it says any xj made after 06/96 has a chance that's its a 29 spline just read a post with a 10/96 that had a 29 when he pulled it.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything just trying to give the best info I can when I actually know it (Does not happen often ) but like I said thanks because I would probably still be looking for a 44 without your heads up on the 29 spline 8.25

Havent don't much recently waiting until I get back from LA and then the lift and tires should go on.... but until then I took off the fog lights that were on there cause only one worked and put my spare on top to see if I liked it

I like how it looks up there and I cant really tell its up there for the most part haven't driven it far like that though but when I get a roof rack and new tires I will probably keep it up there
