Nice xj man , im putting those vents on mine one of these days too. How much space is there between the top on the TB itself to the vent. Thinking bout gettin a K&N cone filter to put on top of tb if enough space either that or make a snorkle. Plan on puttin a 2nd batt in mine shortly as well. And hey nothing wrong with 235s. I have 235s on Eagle alloy 8 inch rims on my 4 inch lift xj. And i love it. Get too big and you cant flex...
I have a THOR intake on mine, I had to trim the bottom of the vents (under the hood) to clear the elbow on top of the intake. I will be getting 33" Trxus MT's sooner or later to mount on these rims. Then let the trimming begin. I've seen your rig on WORE actually, pretty clean.
Damn that just proves me wrong in that pic. lol... I still hate all those big trucks with the big *** tires with like 1-2 inches of clearance between them and the flare. Overcompesation? Lets see how they perform in the mud and on the rocks!!! I hate poser pavement princesses.... oh and thats a sweet lookin rig ALEXRULE123

Reason: Avoiding language filter.
Last night I installed an extra leaf in the rear pack, because my 4.5" Rough Country packs weren't liking all the extra weight of the steal bumper, tire carrier, spare tire, hi-lift, tools, and gas tank skid. Perked it up nicely, and still flexes good.
I also installed longer shocks in the rear, as my 3" one's weren't providing enough down travel.
So when I got my RockHard 4x4 rear bumper/tire carrier used from a friend (for $200) it had a TON of surface rust on it. For the mean time I just kept tossing on coats of black spray paint to keep it "fresh" ... So with some extra time today I grinded it all down as best I could. Tomorrow I am going to OXI Red prime it and then bed liner it. I just priced this bumper out from RockHard4x4 and with shipping it would have costed $1,565. SO at $200 with surface rust, I don't mind putting some elbow grease into it.
The whole rear pretty much was like this..before
Done Grinding.. waiting for acestone wipe then primer and paint
Well tonight I had time to give it 3 coats of Red Oxide primer and 3 good coats of black paint (which are all rust resistant). By nomeans it is professional, but all the rust is off of it, and sealed pretty damn well. Just a matter of maintained it now.
3 coats of primer
Much better finish
1st coat of black
3rd coat drying
Complete.. I'm happy enough.. it will just end up hitting things anyways lol
Got a pretty damn good deal on some 31x10.5R15 Kumho MT's..The fronts have a good amount of tread, and then rears have some weird wearing issues, but they were $100 for 4!!! So I mounted them to my $100 Cragars.. for a solid looking $200 tire/wheel combo!
