I am running 1 new MTR Kevlar, because it came with the set of 4 that i bought for only $300, and they all have tons of tread left. I can deal with it, until I spent over a $1000 on a new set of 33's

Ohhh I gotcha. I wasnt hatin, just happened to notice. Ive snagged my fair share of craigslist mix n match deals, at least yours all match brands. I would have snatched those up for 300 bucks too.

I left the lip on mine to keep a little (little being key word) rigidity in the fender, and to match the lip on rear. Like it just fine, no rubbing at full stuff.

Example shot:

Not really sure if that helps, you're seasoned enough in the XJ world to have seen a hundred trim jobs, just gotta choose one haha.

Thanks for that pic.. I feel like I may want to go a bit higher... Where did you get that black trim?

Its just door edge trim, picked it up from Autozone I believe. Finishes the look of it nicely and keeps tires from getting cut up should the two ever meet.

Did you use any adhesive or anything like that?

It has adhesive in the trim, stayed on great for about 3 months and 2 big weekend wheeling trips and then it started to come loose a bit around the curves so I put a drop of hobby grade CA glue in the corners. Still holding great.

Finished up my rear fender trimming. Had to trim my 1/4" steel bumper quarter panel pieces to get to the remaining fender. I used the first piece I cut off from the first side then flipped it to ensure I had the same arch on both sides. Looks much better now.
