Im the 4th owner of my 01 cherokee 113k, the previous owners took great care of it. Looks like it just rolled off the dealership lot. not bad for 9 years old

I am the original owner, bought it new in April pf '99. Right now it has 92,000 miles and it still looks brand new inside and out. Not bad for a daily driver that has never spent a night in the garage. If rust doesn't get it I hope to have it when it's 30 years old and 200,000+ miles.

Super clean. I think I saw a post with your Jeep in it, and it happened to be at a car show? The engine bay was way clean!

4th or 5th owner of my 96, she was a rental car in AZ for the first few years of her life. Can only imagine what she has been put through.

She sold it to me 1 year later after the rad blew and the head gasket failed (no cracks). She had the top end completely rebuilt, new rad, cooling, etc. While she was waiting for it to be done she bought a Merc SUV, so I bought her XJ.

Sadly she passed away suddenly a few months later, so I will be keeping this one in the family. The kids love it, as do I!

Then

now

Always loved your XJ man, SO clean! Wish I could say the same for mine... Dirty on the outside, and and even worse on the inside,

Believe I'm the third owner (it's in my pop's name, though)

I was the 2nd owner of my very first "car," a 2.5L 2WD '87 XJ and then the 3rd owner for my '97.

I'm the 3rd owner of my current one and got it for a steal. The previous owners just didn't want it anymore. It would shake when driving and was "ugly." I don't think there was a plastic piece on the front interior (dash, console, ... ) that wasn't broken and had been duct-taped and super-glued back together. The A/C worked great and I found out later that it is UpCountry with full armor too

I replaced the rotors/pads and steering damper and it rode as smooth as could be, not a shudder to 90mph.

I replaced the interior with new original parts. I know the general opinion on buying from the dealership, but the Pro-Chrysler part shop near me is as awesome as could be, they loved my project and helped me get really hard to find pieces and discounts for being there more than most of their wholesale customers.

Converted the headlights, added PIAAs, got hit by another driver in the snow which paid for an already dented fender and new paint

It looks like it just came off the lot and I get ~25mpg, all in all less than $2k and will be my DD for a very long time; when it gets to the point that the mpg drops (currently only 145k miles) I'll get an additional ride, but this will always be in my garage.
