The material is UHMW. tim ran his orignal UHMW pads/ bushings (whatever you wanna call them) on his first slider design for like 4 or 5 years with little to no sign of wear

If you do need replacements they are $2 each. I picked a spare set up just incase

I wonder what the life of the slider is (i.e. daily driver w/ some weekend wheeling thrown in)...
I have the sliders and a hidden hitch on mine. The hardware that came with my jcr nutstrips were just long enough.

If I were to add a gas tank skid to what I already have I would need longer bolts for sure.

Ill get those pics for you when I get home from work

Did you ever wind up with the LII sliders on your XJ? I'm on the fence about buying a set now so I'm hungry for feedback.

Late response sorry, I did get some. They rode awesome and articulated very nice. Really smooth on and off road. My only complaint was how low they hung, they scraped on everything I came off of in the rocks.

Pics? I've seen people weld up a plate on the back of the sliders to keep them from bending in together when you drop down on rocks. Just some extra insurance.

Just curious about why, after over a year, this was moved out of the XJ tech section?

Yeah, it seems odd, but I'm kinda glad to have seen all the comments since I've been eyeballing them myself. Betcha they'll make a cushy OME suspension just that little bit better

Because it became active again and a mod noticed its not really tech related probably.
