Looking for pics and info of an odd version of an older XJ

I remember seeing one time an XJ, pre-97, that had a diagnostic panel on the opposite side of the cluster from the CEL group. Things like Door hatch open and other 80's or 90's features that were showing up.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

Do you mean the one squeezed in between the cluster and radio?

If so, I always assumed that it was for various optional warning lights (like the ones you mentioned). I remember seeing a Wagoneer or some such high-end trim model at the JY that had some lights in there.

Yes, that's the one. Ive seen pictures and a writeup, but cant find any info now. Was discussing it with a fellow last night and offered to send him a link if I saw it again... he was very interested in my factory clock

I can't remember the name of it, but it was a Renix system thing. It was a fairly uncommon option included in the higher level trims.

Azzy, that looks like the dash in my '91. I also have the factory clock with space below it for more indicators, but there are no other indicators there. I know a friend with a '92 and another with a '96 are both pissed that I got actual gauges instead of warning lights. Just lucky I guess.

This is a bit of a tangent, but I figured I'd plop that link here for whomever might wander through this thread just in case.
