Got a few poser shots with a buddy from my jeep club. I wanted to get my new parts in this weekend but it was so damn cold all I got done was wiring my lights up.

Best aftermarket header for the money?? My manifold is cracked all to hell and I'm tired of it haha

Just buy a stock manifold.

or save up and buy an entire system. Borla makes entire 4.0 kits from manifold to exhaust tip.

That's not a bad idea! How much do the kits usually run? My entire system needs help... If its way pricy to go that route, I was considering doing a header or new manifold and the iron rock cat back kit. It's around $200 so it's reasonable.

Pretty pricey but I know quadratec has them. You could also buy a header and have a downpipe and cat and tailpipe bent by a muffler shop for less.

I think I have a 40 series laying around somewhere so if I do a turn down after the muffler would that be something that would pass inspection? I don't have inspection now but I'm moving this year. Each state is probably different.

Thanks for that link I like that manifold! And the price haha. Did you notice any changes in fuel economy and power compared to stock?

It sounded cooler There was an increase in top end pull but that was after I had redone the whole exhaust system.

If you have cut off right after the cat then a turn down or side exhaust is a must. that thing vibrated the **** out of my Jeep when I had no tail pipe.

Yeh I bet! Right now my exhaust hanger right after the muffler is ghetto fabbed and my tail pipe hits the floor board. It's soooo annoying... I think I'm set on doing a turn down after my flow-master. I've never been partial to an out the side exhaust set up. Seems like a rock grabber. At least it would be for me.

I LOVE side exhaust. but on a jeep it would be a definite no unless you could do it in a way that didn't hang down like through the body on a 2 door...

Yeh that's probably the only way I would do it. My buddy just did it on his Yota and it looks awesome. But that'd be tricky to pull off in a 4 door.

You could always go the white trash route and have exhaust come through the hood on one side and air intake on the other.
