Picked up a piece of scrap and made a receiver mount for a little yard sale vise.

Currently brainstorming on methods to assist in securing cargo in my roof basket.

Some friends and I had planned to go wheeling and camping this weekend but some health issues on their end forced us to change our plans. Instead, I got some work done around the house and the garage, including reassembling my Polaris Scrambler. My wife and I went to a friend's place for a lengthy night ride. It was the first time we've ridden in a couple years. I had truly forgotten how much fun it was!

Thanks! You should definitely get the roof basket. It's been very useful. Don't worry about about lift. I've never actually needed it.

Cool stuff Kev, love the receiver vice. Milk crates make securing cargo to a roof basket much easier. You are on the right track with both the gas and jug of water.

I found some of these 2.5 Gallon fuel jugs. 2 will fit into one milk crate securely and they just barely stick up out of the top of the crate. the smaller can is also a little easier to handle and hand down to your lovely assistant. Plus pouring 2 gallons into your tank is easier than pouring 5. Just something to think about.

I made another basket where the plastic wraps around inside the handle of the can. I've carried it a few times now for our ATV riding and it worked great!

I sold my Chevy last week. It's hard to believe I'm finally at the point of relying on this thing 100%.

I'm having an issue again with the engine moving forward under load and letting the PS pulley rub the electric fan. Never had the issue when I had the t-case drop because everything was tilted away but once I removed the drop and installed the SYE, stuff was getting a little too close. Back then it was the mechanical fan clutch rubbing the radiator.

I just ordered some Brown Dog poly mounts. I think I paid like $15 for the last set from Rock Auto so I'm thinking these should take care of it. The discount code CF2011 is still good for 10% off.

That should solve the issue. I have Brown Dog's rubber motor mounts and there is no movement under the hood. Before I upgraded the motor mounts, the bolts from the old mechanical fan mount ate one of my Dirtbound Offroad fans.

Those BDs will likely do the trick - great upgrade.

They came today but I didn't get a chance to install them. I did however glance under the hood and see how badly my e-fan is getting chewed up. 😕

Dude. Props on the discount code. I've looking at picking up a set as part of preventative maintenance.

Glad to share!

Stopped for a beer and to wash my hands. I'm still tightening everything back up, but here's the driver side mount where my rubbing was going on

"You understand that the nerves were completely severed?"

Gouges into the fan.

Spatter from the PS pulley.

I'm still going to have to fine-tune the tightness of the cross bolts. At idle, my mirrors rattle.

Also, the "scab" of fan plastic that built up on the PS pulley.
