Just Purchased!!

So I picked up a 1989 Cherokee 4dr 4x4 last night for $1300. Has the I6 and Dana 44 rear end. Leather interior is in pretty good condition. just a couple cracks on the drivers seat. Ill post pics as soon as I can.

It has 227xxx miles on it but is running strong.

Great find for a good price.

I hate those style wheels though haha

WheelinCowboy 07-30-2013 10:07 AM

Yeah I'm not a fan of the wheels either but not something i am too picky about. Changing the hub assemblies this weekend

WheelinCowboy 08-18-2013 10:24 PM

So update. Hub assemblies were a pain, drivers side 8+ hours passenger about 4, didn't help the death wobble. Had my power steering hoses changed and the mechanic had a couple xjs so he took it for a drive and diagnosed the wobble as the track bar. Changed out for a new one ($40 @ AutoZone), no more wobble! Taking it to Arkansas this week. Should be fun!

40 bucks is not to bad, but I think it was probably only the bushings causing the problem not the bar itself. A drive from AZ to AR should bring out any other problems with it. Good luck.

we have been gettin quite a bit of rain around here lately, so if you ask the right person you might do some light muddin or backroading to have fun

It was the bar. The tie rod end was shot. The metal was wallowed out that holds the ball stud. It moved freely compared to the new tight one
