Just bought a xj

New to the forum not new to 4x4s. Just bought my first xj last Monday for 500$. Just needed a starter an it runs great. Building a 4 inch lift and new tires soon. Having some problems with the actuator on the front end. Vacuum lines are good I think it's because it's low on oil in the front end. Just wanted to wave a hand and say hi to everyone.

my brother once bought a xj for $500 drove it as a pizza delivery car during college. He did nothing to it and it had over 200,000. He sold it a year later for $750. He regrets selling it.

Yes, welcome aboard. A lot of POs abandon their fluids when they know the end is near (along with the rest of the maintenance). Good idea to change them all as you get time and funds. And we do love pictures, don't matter what it looks like. It might be helpful to drive it awhile before you do anything to it. Should learn the noises (all XJs talk) and running habits so you can tell what is normal.

I've had cjs and tjs just my first xj. Found a way to lift mine foot inches for around 60 dollars so I can fit some 33s under it. Going for full size axles also. As for pics I'll have to mess with this thing and figure out how to post them up
