Jon's Jeep XJ Build Thread.

Well my last XJ was destroyed shortly after the build was complete by a reckless driver who rear-ended me and flipped me over as I was going 55 mph. Took roughly 1 year to find another unmolested 2001 60th Anniversary edition XJ like my old one to start this build, but I finally found one!

Here is a link to my last one's build: http://liftedtrucksusa.com/forum/che...ild-r-i-p.html

Here's the "new to me" 2001 Jeep Cherokee 60th Anniversary Edition.

That's how I lost my first jeep as well. Not even a week after I won my 6 month battle with death wobbles! I was pissed... Anyway what are your plans for this one?

Installed an "All Sales" billet antenna and lightly tinted the front windows.

Complete new leaf packs, no add a leafs here.

New wheels and old lugs... I don't think so.

After talking to the guys at BDS they suggested running 35" tires with that 8.5" kit so I decided to get some 35x12.50LT15 tires.

Decided to stay with the Mickey Thompson theme and do 15x10 Classic Lock II wheels.

They look like bead locks, but aren't.

I decided to have the lift done at Super Trucks Plus in Raleigh NC. They had done the same kit on my friend's Jeep not too long ago, so I figured they knew what they were doing.

You can see in the box I decided to install Day Star urethane spring isolators in place of the factory rubber ones. Super Trucks Plus in Raleigh NC. is about to "DO WORK".
