Not really a mod, but the tailgate came down one day on my head and didn't feel so good. Luckily the tailgate wasn't damaged.

Yea got them from Summit Racing, part no. MON-901381

Undo these two 10 mm bolts first, then remove the ball and socket at the bottom of the lift strut. Use a vice grip on the strut you're not removing at the moment or have a friend help hold up the gate.

What's nice is that the piston is black on these, which looks nice against a black Jeep. The oem ones piston was chrome.

Not trying to talk ****, but how do you have Almost 2k followers on the buld? It looks great dont get me wrong, but it's another cookie cutter XJ that I'm willing to bet you have as much $ as I do in your lift/install than I have invested in my entire jeep and build.

Any plans for armor, Gears, lockers, etc?

Keep up the work and as always enjoy it! That's what makes this hobby fun!

Let's see some flexed out shots, and some more offroading...

I got this for Christmas from a business contact, Bolt hitch lock means no more loosing those little keys, it uses your truck key!

I've had this sitting in my office, so decided to retire it as a paper weight.

Insert your key and turn 3/4's until you can turn anymore. This is MUCH easier doing before you have it on your hitch.

I just need to wipe away the grease (to prevent rust fusion) and I'm good to go.

There's a company that makes mounts for xjs that mounts them to the side mirrors
