If those are not projector housings, all you are doing is blinding oncoming drivers. Also, you need to secure those ballasts, when they bounce around like that, they like to fail. I am an HID dealer, I hope you didn't pay too much for those...

hid's do not need to be in projectors. you should know this. since you're a dealer and all

actually you do need projector housings because the stock housings are designed for halogen bulbs, therefore the stock housings don't produce the right beam cutoff for the hid's

Yes, that is true. They CAN be installed in non projector lenses, but as stated, without projectors they scatter light all over and blind oncoming drivers. Many times I will not install HID's in a vehicle if the person does not have the proper housing. I do not know what the Jeeps use, I do mainly VW and Audi HID's, which can use european housings made specifically for the proper beam cutoff.

Edit: you can even see the point I am making. Look at his 4th picture, he isn't standing anywhere near the jeep head on, and the HID's light is shining so bright in every direction, it throws the camera off. Look at his drivers side headlight, upper right corner. That is scattered light.

To the OP, how many times do people flash their high beams at you at night because you are blinding them?

hids have to be in housing designed for hid. not all projectors are designed for hid either. rememebr many factory his housings are not in a projector house such as many mercedes and old nissan and infinity models. and they do not scatter the beam. the light output in an hid is in an arc unlike a bulb from a single point. this is where the scatter come from because light is hitting the reflector in the incorrect spots. if the hid bulb is placed at the proper depth, you will not have this issue. but most people just throw them in there.

plz do your research before responding, it is not a real HID if it is in a stock housing. It is not safe for other drivers and even you yourself. Read what it says on the side of the box that the HID's came in, if it says "For offroad use only" then it's illegal; or even if they say legal in 50 states or DOT approved they are referring to parts of the bulb that are legal, not the bulb as a whole.
