im sure theres a thread, but gear ?

Ok, so my xj is running 36x12.50's, and I've got 3.55 gears, the tires have about another 6 months left and I'm thinking of getting 35's, along with new gears. What do most people run? I do a lot of highway driving but I'm not sure if I should do 4.56 or 4.88 ratio. Appreciate the help guys

We put 4.56 gears in MOBBiN's XJ when we did the gear and locker update last month. I believe he has 36" tires. He said the 4.56 was a significant improvement, especially in fuel economy.

Look half way down this page for more info on MOBBiN's Swap.

4.56, that is about as close as you can get to stock specs. Seriously though, 36's on 3.55's!
