On a D30 the pinion is so small it doesnt really matter anyways. Thats why I went with 4.88s

I am looking pretty hard for a nice D44/9" setup around here but they all go for gold and trying to find one without cast radius arm mounts is a *****. But when I do get one, it will be locked F/R with 5.13s and 35 spline conversion in the 44 w/ D60 outers

The place for the October event is ****ing badass, but it's another 6+ hours north or RC from you. I'll be up there for the weekend, hopefully you can make it.

Look into the Jana 54 kit if you're going to build a D44, I wish I'd heard about it before I built mine.

Yep I think he does
But at that point isn't it cheaper to have built a 60?

Not sure, never built one. I'm going to stay content on stock style axles until I'm done with school. It's more affordable.

Yeah. But you got to realize the costs to swap and to swap properly. It's not cheap. A buddy if mine has a built 44/9" and he wants 3 for the set. It is ready to swap in to a similar to stock setup. I can't swing that now lol.

Well, this may come as a shocker, but I MIGHT go up to 4.5 . MAYBE. I got a hold of some 3.5 springs that are used from my buddy, and a set of 4.5 coils just in case the @ss sits too high. I plan to cut my big shackle down to 1.5" shackles and hopefully they will work fine with my front 3" coils. If not, oh well. I'll just go to 4.5 and enjoy the up travel and the extra belly height. But, if I go to 4.5, I will get 2" wheel spacers to make up for the added height in width. Anyways, I did an alignment yesterday and the XJ keeps wanting to go right. I know this is a Jeep thing and it has to do with the crown in the road, but I think mine is doing it worse because the *** end is so damn uneven. Hopefully, the springs will fix this.
