Got the exhaust welded up and tucked up nice. No pics cause no one cares about that. Here was the driver side motor mount...

And then I got some new ones

DURALASTZ

And then I posed it all sexy like

Hows your power steering been? Ever whine or get hot or anything? Still a stock xj steering box?

Also your brakes? Ever have to do any emergency stopping? If so how do they feel with 35's?

Yeah stock steering box. It whines occasionally when it's getting beat on but after the steering box brace it hasn't been as bad. Brakes aren't awesome, but it will stop quick if need be. I may go Black Magic when I need pads.

When I had my 35s on my xj, 60 to 0 stop was well, not pleasant but it wasn't horrible, avoided hitting a dear that had already been hit on the highway

When I went 35's, I got slotted rotors and brembo pads to replace my autozone stuff and the difference in stopping power was amazing. Make sure to bed them in well though.

Why not splurge on some beefier aftermarket motor mounts? That install was a PITA and I'd rather pay a few extra bucks to keep the fan out of my expensive radiator.

My pads are about done, so I will upgrade when that time comes. On the motor mounts, I have heard that the Brown Dogs are so stiff that they usually cause a lot of vibration, makes the Jeep feel like a race car. These have a lifetime warranty so even if they are junk, I can get new ones fo free. My install wasn't a PITA, only took me 20 minutes max a side...

Ironmans ended up being great for me! About 100 bucks. I had Autozone specials for about 3 months..picked up some More mounts! They were great but I felt the ironmans were much stronger & got them for a song.
They have poly bushings to...and honestly I think these were way way better than my 3 month old autozone mounts & look much stronger than the More mounts!
My jeep doesn't have any more vibs or anything at all. It feels much more responsive now though..I guess you said it. More race car feeling...but not any added vibs..Sitting at idle or at a stop light..it does shake or anything.
It just feels more planted now. Like before I could jam on the gas and I could litterally feel it in the jeep..the motor would torque over.
When going wot..say down an on ramp..letting it race through the gears (5spped here) I could literally feel the motor torque over after every shift. With the ironman mounts..or similar it stopped it all together.
