The only drawback is that I have 3.55's, though my 4.56's should be here today. As far as stock vs. 3/4 ton axles, I've done passed up a 44/9" and a ready to bolt in set 44/60, so you know my answer
. Reason being is that both were wide, and I'm trying to keep it street legal. You can wheel stock axles hard, but just be smart about it. With your axle combo, I'd run 35's right meow.
I run 10" travel 5100's up front. Yeah, I could use a 12" travel, but lifting a wheel occasionally doesn't bother me and I'd rather lift a wheel occasionally than cut my shock mounts up AGAIN to make room.
