RK has a 4.5" and 6.5" lift that is rear coil conversion.

If you wanted to spend extra money and get coil overs that would be your choice.

Eh, I like my leafs. They keep the Jeep stable and are stupid easy to work with. If I was to do a coil conversion, I wouldn't buy a kit. I've haven't heard good things about "kits" for a conversion. If I was to do it, I'd build it like SFR did.

I wouldn't even convert to coils, if I was gonna do it I'd comp cut then get coil overs. Better return for the money/time spent imo.

I wouldn't comp cut unless I'd stretch. As far as stretching goes, it's seriously worthless unless you are on 40's or over. A 102" wb is damn near perfect for most situations. On 35's and anything over 102", I'd feel like I was wheeling a school bus. As far as coil overs go, I wouldn't even begin to waste the time or money on junk stock axles for coil overs. I feel like once I get this 3 link in, a little more adjustment to the leafs, a set of prothanes, and maybe some limiting straps and I'll be good.

Oh I'm with you on that, and that is the direction my build will take as well, but if money was cheap, coil overs, 37s, comp cut, and a 2-3" stretch would be what I wanted.

And yes upgrading to "real" axles would be part of that process as well. Can't wait to see RKs 3-link set up on your XJ.

What prothanes are you looking at? I want to do something diff with my front bumps, they have no give and hit hard. Lol
