back to the mtr talk, I fawkin love my mtrs. Got them in 35x12.50 for my Cherokee and had them on that for like 3 months. Aired down to 3 psi one time and wheeled for 2 hours without loosing a bead. They aren't super soft but they hook up good. Have them on my Yj now. Didn't have them balanced on my xj or my Yj and they ride perfectly smooth even at 85. Yes my turd does 85. But I will say for 15,000 miles they didn't wear at all. Then once they hit 15,000 they started wearing quickly. I've got about 17,000 on them so we will see how they last. Friend had them in 32s and he agrees that they kick ***. We did cut a sidewall in one of his but we were driving through huge brush piles in his yota so he was asking for it. A sharp log cut a 8 inch hole in his sidewall. Continue with doing sisters lol

if nothings breaking your not wheeling it hard enough

Ok. So, I've hit issue after issue with my 44 swap, but I'm finally thinning it out. Pulled the shafts out to replace the u joints and found this on the driver side inner...

Yes, ^^^^ that's a chromo.

So I said **** it and called ECGS and had them send me some new ones so I'd have a warranty and I would know what I have.

OH! and in all this mess and confusion I also found I don't have a Waggy 44. It's a J10 front axle. Which is why ECGS has to custom cut one of the inner shafts.

All I have left to do is build a new frame side track bar mount, put new pads on the 8.8, get my new shafts in, and get some e brake cables. I also should mention I installed a set of Warn Premium hubs.

All in all, the swap is still worth it. Currently, I have $1750 in the 44/8.8 swap. I really don't think that's terrible, considering building a 44 alone is anywhere from $2500-$3000.

Long time, no update. However, work has been put in and it's drivable and wheelable! Balanced the tires with airsoft BB's and built a better track bar bracket (no pics) than the Rubican't Express mount. Got the new shafts in and installed....

Climbed a tree....

And the did the unthinkable....

I put some flares on the front. The front stuck out almost 8" past the fenders. VA law says no more than 4". I could maybe get away with it, but I really just rather not be hassled. It's right at 4" in the front now. I zip tied them on for quick disco action/ break away action WHEN a tree or rock rips them off No, I don't like them, but as long as I can drive it to wheel somewhere, I'll be happy.

I swear I saw a picture of that track bar mount on Instagram

He's an angel dressed in oilskins; he's a saint in the "Sou'wester,"
He's a pluck as they come, or ever can;
He's a hero born and bred, but it hasn't swelled his head,
For he's just the U.S. Government's hired man.
