If I'd have known you wanted to do the cowl intake I woulda gave you my old setup. It's sitting in my basement not being used.

Cowl intake looks good! Thats on my to do list. Any difference in noise inside the Jeep after this mod?

Thanks B. No difference in noise at all. It seems like it might even run a tad better but thats probably just my imagination. My 4.0 runs pretty darn good. Probably the same as all the other good ones but if seems to rip better than all the 4.0's i wheel with.

We are out wheeling now. A 3 day weekend of fun in the mud. I will try to get some pictures.

I want to add this video I made to my thread. I have hundreds of pictures and several dozen videos from wheeling this summer on my phone.. I figured it was time to put a little movie together. The hardest part is picking which clips to include and then edit them down to a few seconds each.

My first attempt at iMovie, Hope you enjoy.

Love how your rear bumper tucks up tight to the body. Very awesome xj! Some of those mudholes would have swallowed my little (non lifted) xj!

Thanks. The OR-Fab guys do a great job. Wish they had more stuff for the XJ.

Some of those mudholes swallowed everybody.

Nothing like leaving a perfect imprint of the entire undercarriage of your jeep when you high center it.

Im really glad you posted in the XJ wheelin pic section and I ran across your build! What an awesome jeep and epic wheeling!

I have always been fascinated with Alaska, and after seeing how the jeeping goes up there, I am even more! Please please please keep sharing your jeep and wheeling experiences with us!

Rock on

I could not watch the first vid. Said "Content not available on mobile." I think my whole XJ would of disappeared in the first 10 seconds of the second one. Looks like locker would be a huge benefit up there.

I'm not sure why the video says that. Many people can watch the vid on mobile devices. I credited the copyrighted audio track so that is cleared up now. I set the preferences so it should play on mobile devices but is doesn't on some. Still not sure why. If you set your mobile device to "Desktop Mode" it will play.

In the first clip of the second vid that TJ is on 44" tires. Not the greatest tires but being 44" tall really help it out in the axle dragging bogs.

Lockers are a must around here. We installed 5.32 gears and an ARB in the front of he Red TJ that is seen struggling in many of those clips. With those 42" AG tires it finally goes like it should. It's getting a set of 12" wide wheels this week and that will really flatten the profile and help it immensely in the mud.
