How Much Should I Sell my 2000 Cherokee Sport For?
4 Attachment(s)
Hey all.

I'm selling my 2000 Cherokee Sport 4x4. Sad, I know.

It doesn't have a lift kit or nice rims. Pretty standard.

I'm in Austin TX.

What would be a good asking price to sell privately?

- Model: Jeep Cherokee Sport
- Year: 2000
- Color: Dark Green
- Doors: 4 door
- 4 wheel Drive: Yes and it works
- Stereo: JVC with bluetooth audio and streaming (stream from your mobile phone wirelessly)
- Mileage: 166,304 miles
- Tow package

Recently fixed or replaced:

- Tune up
- Oil Change
- New radiator
- New blower motor
- New Tires
- Complete brake system overhaul
- Replaced some AC system seals
- Fixed drivers seat frame (typical issue with this model)

I recently did a buyer's check with Just Jeeps to determine what need fixed and replaced. I've pretty much done everything on the list except for some front end work.

- Front sway bars end links
- Sway bar bushings
- Upper control arms and bushings
- Lower control arms
- Alignment

$2500-3000. Maybe $3500 if it's cleaner than it looks on the outside in the pics. Cant tell if the paint and molding is faded or just dusty.

Looks pretty decent. You might try some of that wipe on bumper magic stuff to make the plastic bumper covers and mirrors shine. Interior looks good. If it drives nice it should be worth $3500-$4000 I would say.

Kelly Blue Book:
Fair: $3700
Good: $4400
Very Good: $4550
Excellent: $4850

I'd start at askin $4000 -$4500 and not settle less than $3900-$4000 until it sits on the market awhile. After that or if you're in a hurry it's all up to you where you'll settle.

Edited: After some further checkin it appears KBB's numbers can be pretty whacked out. Ran it thru NADA:

Average Trade-in = $1800, Clean retail = $4275.

Get "Wipe New" Cleans that plastic up really nice. As for price start high. 4000. I Just bought mine. 2000 sport, 4x4 with 112xx on it. Also had remote start that the PO didn't know about :) Also had a Super Lift 2.5in lift on it. I STOLE it for 4k. So your looking at 3-35xx for yours.

I just bought 2001 cherokee sport from N Carolina with 80k for $5000. Your high mileage is what will put your XJ around $3000.

The time now is 12:25 AM.
