Then found a good location to tap into the wire.

Then ran a wire from the splice location through the firewall under the dash. Also tucking everything nicely back into the plastic harness cover.

Finally mounted a small toggle switch under the dash.

All in all, I think it came out pretty good.
What exactly does that do?

Basically sets the idle from 750 rpm to 1000 thus increasing the output of the alternator withotu needing your foot on the gas. Police package XJs had this feature so that their batteries didn't die due to all of the equipment they had.

Overhead Console, painting

Went to the junk yard today and scored a overhead console and mounting bracket out of a grand caravan for $10! I already got a trip/ mileage display out of my dad's overhead because his is a 96 and there are no wires to connect it.

After that I got bored a painted my knee bolster black. Ill probably paint more of my interior later on with the same color.

Nice work on the extended idle switch, I plan to do that very soon. I mainly want it to keep my power steering pump going strong in technical rock areas. Had multiple issues this year while picking a line where I flat out could not steer at idle, but could with just a little bump in rpm in lowrange. Not a big deal but having to do that constantly seems counterproductive when I can ground a ****ing wire.

Yeah you would be surprised at what a few RPMs can do!

If I remember correctly it only works in park and neutral.

Unfortunately you are correct on that. Mine only works in park though, because my NSS is out of of position.

That is exactly what I use it for, quicker warm ups. I have a remote start so I don't even have to go out and start it.

Im back!

Sorry for not posting too much recently, I have had a lot of AP things and tests and other high school junk. So here what I have done while I have been gone.

ZJ Leather Seats

New Track Bar

Overhead Console with Trip Computer

Wired up a custom harness for the computer

703 Injector Swap

Also painted fuel rail

Next up we have this nice $15 find!

Also when I was at the junkyard I saw these red twins! They were both two doors, such a sad loss. Maybe Vegas's long lost twin?
