Oh definately. They stick out like a sore thumb. I'm going to paint them this weekend but now I'm debating taking them off. Either way its going to look good

Thought I would update my build thread. Once my tax return comes in, I am buying not one, but TWO Aussie Lockers And after driving around for a while with the 3" lift, you guys were sooo right. Should have gone with the 4.5" lift off the bat. No matter what you think, your gonna want to go bigger But you live and you learn I guess. But will purchase the lockers soon and post up pics of the install.

Today I removed the side molding on the doors and will trim the fenders later on. I also put some leaf helpers on to raise the rear a bit.

Update
Well I am in for a big endeavor (pause for dramatic effect)..... I am painting my Jeep this week!!! Ripped off the fender flares last night, debadged and removed all decals on the Jeep, and am in the process of cleaning/ sanding down the clearcoat today. Will post pictures later on today

It is getting painted "Super Jet Black". So it's still black pretty much. Wetsanded it all down today and removed several things in order to paint.

Removing the fenders


Used 3M's eraser to take off all the decals







Cleaned it before sanding.




8 hours and a farmer's tan later


I'm getting pretty excited for the outcome right now. Tomorrow I will hit the bare metal areas with primer, trim the fenders, and fill in holes from the PO

Just have some pictures of where I'm at right now in painting. Have two more coats of primer and then will start spraying color.

Update
The color is on!!! Found a few small imperfections so I didn't spray clear on yet. Going to wetsand and clean this color, then hit it with a final coat, then spray on the final coats of clear. Here are some photo's of the progression:









Been a painful process but it is all finally coming together.

Haha it's tricky. Alot of sanding, more sanding, oh and some more sanding lol. In the end it should all be worth it though.
