I have all three of the tools you linked, and they work well enough for me. I don't trust the impact to tighten anything, but it breaks loose tough bolts and lugs well enough
Also it can be a pita to switch out the grinder wheels, and the thinner cutting ones don't fit like they should (probably a problem on the user's end though ) That's the only one I think ill bother to upgrade sometime. The jack serves its purpose well enough, but I don't rely on it to actually hold the jeep up of course, just to get it there.

Haha, funny how I linked all the tools you have. Yeah I think they will work well for my purposes. I'm a college student and in the Army so I'll be going from place to place for a while. I'll go a bit cheap on tools like that but hand tools and such I'll stick with Craftsman. Gotta love that lifetime warranty. Anyone else got any input?

I have that grinder. As far as the cutting discs not fitting well, I just flipped the backing plate around. One side has a deep ridge for the grinding discs and the other side is shallow for cutting discs. Haven't had any problems with it.

No where right now. I'm a senior in ROTC, so I'll be one of those guys that everyone hates for a while. I'll be an MP, and I'm hoping to get stationed at Campbell or Carson. Really hoping for Carson. We'll see.

They should all serve their purpose for a while. I have their cheap grinder and have used it on a few long jobs of cutting and grinding various things. - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices
There's a store about 20 mins from my house so It's a place I go to frequently but I tend to get tools with a liftime warranty that I use a lot.

I have the angle grinder it works well, can't say the discs they sell are worthy though -- i'd stay away from the impact wrench.

New Mexico Driving Rules...

As a general rule, the vehicle most in need of a significant amount of bodywork (for which the driver is most likely uninsured) always has the right of way.
Never use directional signals when changing lanes. They only serve to give away your next move, causing most NM drivers to speed up and not let you in. In fact, use of directional signals within most large NM city limits is actual illegal.
NM law states that at least 50% of all paved surfaces within the state must be under construction at any one time. In all construction zones, at least half of the available lanes must be closed, regardless of whether any actual construction is be accomplished or not. Construction signs shall be regularly repositioned in order to warn drivers about upcoming lane closures immediately after they pass the last exit before traffic backups.

Driving through constructions zones with upcoming lane closures is a popular game in NM. It’s called the "speed up and pass as many cars as you can, then see how close to the lane closure you can squeeze back into traffic before hitting any of the orange construction barrels" game.
I pretty much agree that they should serve their purpose for a little while, the Jack is pretty good though, it will last longer than your garage. But the impact, I don't know if It'd really be worth its weight, at only 250lbft. the grinder should work for a good while though

I second getting quality hand tools, I try to stick with Craftsmen or SnapOn; even with quality power tools they often break in my environment (marine construction), those hand tools are easier to care for though, and ought to last forever.

Harbor Freight tools are fine for the kinds of tools you'll only use here or there, but theres a reason they're so cheap.
If you want real quality tools at a decent price, go with Kobalt from Lowe's. They're made by the same company that makes Craftsman and they carry the same warranty. The only difference is the name and price. If you can find the older Kobalt tools from when the line first came out snatch them up, made by the same company that used to make Snap On.

I agree with that. The grinders will do fine for light duty grinding. Anything more than that and they will die quickly. I catch them on sale for $12.99 and usually buy 2 at a time.
I run a service truck working on construction equipment and use some of their tools every day. 10 yrs ago I wouldnt have admitted to that and used nothing but snap on and mac. The co I work for decided they didnt want to pay for any stolen tools anymore so I replaced almost all my hi dollar stuff with HF....
The HF hand tools quality varies. They have 2 or 3 grades of handtools. If you get the top line they do very well, at least as well as my last set of craftsmans.
I do stay away from specialty tools there. I dont get , breaker bars, allen wrenches, torx sockets or anything like that there. The quality of those isnt very good and I kept my snap ons for that.
I have yet to break a single HF ratchet, wrench or socket without having a cheater hooked to it.
You also cant beat their $50 towbar for the XJ's

I go the blue drill master grinder from them for $8.99 back in 03 still workin fine. Got a decent set of allen wrenches for a couple bucks the other day. Harbor freight has a lifetime warranty on hand tools. A buddy had taken stuff back and he said they replaced them no questions asked.
