Great Dynomax CatBack Deal!!!

Figured I'd give you guys a heads-up if you need a new cat-back. I got mine during the week and installed it last night.

http://www.amazon.com/Dynomax-17340-Aluminized-Cat-Back-Exhaust/dp/B000CIT2LS

After the rebate, it'll cost you a whopping $95 if you take the "Free Shipping" option. Who knew that Amazon sells car parts now??

I am getting close to being able to poke a hole in my muffler easily with a screw driver. It might be time to replace it with a good deal. I need to find a quiet good deal though.

Sorry Justin! I knew you were a member over here though so I figured you'd see my thread.

So far, it's not much louder than stock, and there's no drone inside the truck. Plus, the fit is excellent. I had it lined up and clamped in under an hour with the help of my 5-year old son.

I got the dynomax cat and muffler on my XJ and it sounds pretty mild. Hopefully amazon is better than summit racing as far as making sure they send the right one. I got one for a 97+ cherokee and had to "make it work"

I've had my dynomax cat-back for about a year now and I like it, the only problem is now the weld around where the inlet to the muffler has cracked and you can hear the exhaust leaking but other than that it is a nice muffler and for $95 for the cat-back it would well be worth it.

The rebate is a mail-in; send a copy of the invoice along with a form you download off Amazon's site, and they send you a check.

As far as install, it was pretty easy. I drove the rear of the Jeep up on ramps, cut the old exhaust off with a Sawzall (took me half hour or less, being careful), and installed the new one in about an hour. One of the easiest cat-backs I've ever installed!

The thing with aluminized steel is that it can still rust, especially crevis corrosions. I would definitely upgrade to stainless steel if it see's alot of salt and weather. Just my 2 cent.
