Got the JCR Bumper on today

So, I finally got my bumper and hoops the other day and it was time to put it all together.
Before

Got the old stock bumper off
1213101419.jpg
The Pre-runner hoops all on new n welded.
This was particularly difficult because the guys at JCR cut the angles wrong on each hoop end, so we picked the best angle and had to do some fill welding, but ended up nice.

this driver side tie in bracket was a pain in the a**.

Yes.

what did you have to do for the tie in brackets.
Nothing really, the passenger side is a breeze.
but the drivers side was a pain, it took forever to get it lined up with the steering box.
their are two fender supports, one on each side, and will need to be trimmed. they say you can remove them too but its allot of extra work for nothing really, they aren't noticeable.

Not at all, although you might need to trim the inside of the two front holes, they didnt quite match up to the tie in brackets.

Quote:
how much does it weigh approximately?
Maybe just shy of 150 - 200lb not quite sure, by far more than the stock bumper.
i could lift it myself but was quite strenuous, definitely need two people to lift and hold to mount it.

Plan on a full day of work, well maybe not a full day, we had some fab work to do... took us from 10am to 6:30pm
the vacuum canister in the stock bumper you can either relocate or just plug the line, its for your cruise control so if you use it allot relocate it, if not just plug it up. the horns you'll have to relocate (one on each side) other wise they will stick out and look funny, i just pulled a 180 and turned the so they are up instead of down on the fender support bracket.

anything else, just ask! =D

Looks good. Only took me and my buddy an hour to install his JCR Pre runner. Hardest part was taking the stock bumper off and reforming the stock mounts where he had hit something before.

LOOKS AWESOME! Is that just an extra stock bar on your roof rack for your lights? I've been wanting lights on my roof, just didn't want to pay the $100+ for a light bar..

actually, the middle bar is from a junkyard, i wanted another because it kind of looked silly with only one in back and the other with lights on it so i got another and i think it looks better now...
i think im going to get the JCR light rack in a week or two, a job without bills is great. =D
