goodbye 97

so im planning on selling my 97 Xj and getting a wait for it Vw baja no im kidding im wanting to get an older Xj because the 97's have wiring issues and its just harder to work on then a 95 and earlier. so with that said im still going to be apart of the Xj community i plan on keeping my lights and rack but im letting the sound system go with it to bring in more cash

I'm gonna go along the lines of Motorcharge here and say that your lack of research is disturbing.

Mostly just the length of the arms.

Maybe that's why I've been banned twice from here. I feel like I'm talking to pre-K after reading half of the builds, mods, and questions here. BEDLINER AND ANGRY EYES BRAH!

You think this is bad go over to Cherokee Forum. Although since they got bought out the moderator's aren't allowed to do much over there anymore. Some of the stupidest advice I've ever seen on off road forums goes on over there and like everyone that knew what they were talking about has left lol

Yeah. I've been there a time or two. It sucks. NAXJA is pretty good.

You are ditching a 97 for a 96 or older?

You lose an airbag, ergonomics, a better steering wheel for... just about the same engine (and wiring) and an outdated body and door styling?

You smoka da crack?

I'd take a 96 over a 97. I hate the exterior on the new body style, the interior is more cramped, and you still get ODBII with a 96. And I like my giant bus driver steering wheel damn it.

I'm with motorcharge on the steering wheel thing. I liked the 88s steering wheel. I'd swap my 98 for one in a heartbeat.
