Is This A Good Buy?

I have been looking for a Cherokee to be my daily driver/weekend wheeler and I was planning to build it but then I came across this Cherokee and it has a lot of parts and pieces I was planning on doing but just what some opinions on the jeep and the price thanks

the only thing im a little sceptical about is the Detroit cause I want to daily drive it and winter is coming so a Detroit and winter roads im not so sure about....

it also has an adjustable track bar and the Detroit is a "soft locker"

Not unless they're gonna knock $5-6k off the asking price.

What? Stock XJs in my area in good shape with miles like that go for $4500+ all day every day.

If you were to buy a '99 XJ, stock, with less than 118K miles you might, repeat might, be able to build it like that Jeep for $8grand all in.

IMO that is a pretty good deal. The ad says obo - go in at 7K and go from there. Geared and locked f/r? - that thing is built pretty well. The only thing I'd keep in mind is it's obviously been wheeled so I'd make sure you look it over meticulously.

I like the Jeep. I don't like the price. To high for my area but I understand that changes from one place to next.

I gotta agree with motorcharge... If I were in that situation, I'd be looking at Jeeps from the southern states. Nice lifted XJs bring around 5k in Georgia and probably wouldn't cost more than 1k to ship it up north. And it'll be totally rust free..

Daily driver: '00 XJ Limited 4x4 w/ 300k miles and still going strong.

The price isn't that far off, he's pricing high to get his price. Probably worth about $6.5k - $7k depending on the market. I see stockers go for almost that on the West Coast.

I guess I'm the only one who noticed he's in Alberta. I thought you guys didn't even have Kijiji down there!

Check for rust. Looks clean from the pics. No idea what a Tarbor winch is but the lockers and gears sure aren't cheap.
