Going doorless: yay or nay?

Having the urge to go doorless in my XJ for the upcoming event jeepbeach 2013. Im trying to find out the pros and cons of hacking my door hinges to do a modification that will make my doors sag. Doesnt sound like too much of a problem because my driver side hinge sags anyway. Any thoughts on this guys??

I say Nay , I personally think it looks Trashy on an XJ. The way I see it if you want something that was designed to go doorless Buy a CJ/YJ/TJ/JK .

And for those who are going to try to flame me on the XJ being designed to go Doorless. I will end your argument before it starts if it was designed to be doorless why do you have to modify the hinges and cut the harness to make the doors removable ?

You don't have to modify the hinges, that just makes it easier and some of us don't have a harness.

It only makes your door sag if you unbolt the hinge from the door and don't put it back the same. You can just as easily cut the hinges with the doors in place and it is literally no different aside from being able to easily remove them.

Honestly my only fear is screwing something up since it is my only vehicle, this may sound extreme but something such as bending it in half haha

Simple drill the door side out to 3/8, drop new pins in. The doors can be removed easily, there is 0 sag, and if you don't like it don't ever take them off again.

I will say half door are better but doorless is not a problem either. If you want to do it go for it.

Completely stock, and keeping it that way...

I say YAY, the only thing holding me back is I havent purchased the correct size pin to replace the one you have to cut in order to perform the mod. I cannot wait to show up doorless to a Jeep meet, I get Wrangler envy everytime I go wheeling with my Jeep club.

Yes instead of 5/16 drill out to 3/8 an your doors will close better than factory
