Front recovery point

Is there one?

I see there is something, but is it a lashing point or is it a proper recovery point? Am I ok to attach a rope to it?

What other options are there? Can I fit something like this to the front of my Jeep:

If so, how and where?

Thanks guys.

thats a legit recovery point..... if you have a frame. xj's are unibody so recovery gets a little tricker. you bolt that on to the xjs uniframe it will tear right out. one of the best value front recovery options is this IRON ROCK OFF ROAD: XJ Tow Hook Mount

That hook CAN be utilized safely IF he has no sway bar, one bolt through the rear most hole in the hook and sway bar mount, and weld all around.

The sway bar mount is plated on the inside of the rail. I've seen it with my own eyes. I have also used that exact style hook to help a friend recover her full size ford from a ditch on the side of the road 7 feet below the road surface.

They make brakets you can attach the hook to so you don't have to weld anything. Makes it much stronger to pull from.
