Found a Cherokee

So..I found a 2000 Cherokee Sport for sale. $5000 obo, so its negotiable. Its got 110k miles, 4.0, looks to be in good shape. Whats a reasonable offer I can give to the seller? I don't wanna go too low, but I feel $5000 is a little high.

One thing I've learned is that it's a helluva lot easier to raise an offer than it is to lower one.

Here's your pic.

5K, no way, unless that doesn't have a spot of rust nowhere to be found, that a little high, low mileage is nice, but overall, nothing special, you might like it, I hate the color, there are plenty in the Pittsburg area, extend your search even into the Youngstown Ohio area, I just checked craigs in your area and found several I liked better, obviously you have to check them out, don't buy the first one you see, and don't be worried it will sell out from under you, there are plenty around, example, this one sweet looking, and only 3400-ish asking, deal lower, and have money to put into it what you like to make it yours.

just an example in your area;

yeah, I'm kinda bias when it comes to green ones

edit; here's another nice candidate-->http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/4200941592.html

Don't buy an Ohio jeep and bring it to PA, not worth it imo that's what I did.

The only thing you have to do when buying an Ohio Jeep, is make sure it will pass Pa inspections, so arm yourself with all the inspection criteria, but yeah, easier to just buy it in Pa, just remember to inspect it regardless, that's a popular reason to sell a vehicle in the inspection states, they don't pass, and instead of fixing, they sell it, leaving you with having to get it to pass anyway.

With only 41k, I'd pay his asking price, but only after negotiating a better deal failed, start at around 3500, work your way up, Damn, low miles and my favorite color XJ, I would not be cutting bumpers and doing all kinds of un-reversible mods to that one, lift kit, larger tires, a few personal touches and enjoy, get a $1500 beater to do serious trail riding if that's what your into.
