Fishing Pole Roof Rack Holders?

image.jpgHey guys so im ordering a curt roof rack for my XJ tomorrow and i really want some fishing rod holders to mount to the side of the rack so the poles are laying horizontal... Does anyone know of some nice ones i could buy/make that would clamp to the side of the roof rack? Ill post pics of the rack too. Thanks guys!

At the dollar store down the road in the tool section I bought flexible wire that is covered in foam I use that to attach my fishing poles and they don't budge also holding my fuel filter with same wire so I suggest finding foam covered wire

I have yet to figure out pics something about to much kb but with some wraps and twists you can attach the poles if you can find the same wire should be very easy to bend them to suit your needs

I have quick fists attached to my surco roof rack that i can carry a shovel in, they make smaller diameter ones too

I'd get some PVC pipe and end caps. Zip-tie them on the inside, but outer. The caps on the back could be removable. Don't know if you wanted the reels on them. Could glue on a large OD section at the end. ?? Might check some of the fishing supply catalogs, or even Gander Mountain etc. Or Orvis.

I'd say either some simple velcro loop and/or bungee balls would do the trick.
