Electric radiator fan

Installed new radiator and stat and of course busted the main fan shroud during installation and am having some trouble finding one. Has any one ever discarded the fan and clutch and ran an electric fan as the main fan along with the secondary electric fan. I'm not even sure if this can be done on the 4.0.

Yes I run two stock fans on my 98 xj,I wired them to a relay then ran two switches inside the cab so when it gets colder I can shut one off or both if I'm at the drive ins. Runs great have had this set up for almost 3 years now I live near Philly where there is a ton of traffic drive to Bloomsburg pa some weekends which is a 3 hour drive and have driven straight through to butler pa which is 6 hours for the past 2 years with no problems temp stays 190 - 200 may hit 210 on a good hot day like 100 plus but no problems. It will also bolt in stock holes I just had to use some bailing wire to hold the bottom left corner down,I used bolts to hold the water pump pulley on for clearance.

Not only can it be done, it is done very often. Do a little searching, and you'll find all the info you could ever want on the subject.
