Dune whips on XJs

Hey everyone, we're going to be taking my '99 XJ up on the SL sand dunes here in MI, and I'm not sure the whip is long enough to tie back to the roof rack, which is where we were thinking of tying it. My girl is a DD, and I don't want to have to take her whip/flag off for driving around.
Where do those of you who run your XJs on dunes tie back your whips?
Thanks in advance!

That looks great! I don't have a light bar. She does have a visor though, but we're afraid to tie it back to that...we'd have to drill a hole in it. Hmm...I wonder if a longer whip that could be bent back to her rack would work.

Is any of the forward gutter exposed? If yes, make a clamping thingy of some sort

You could have a 2 part whip so you can put half in the jeep and half on the jeep.

Yeah, we'll figure it out. I'll just stop at David Allen Racing out at SL and see what they've got to say. Thanks for the input. I know DAR sells different length whips. Want to get her ready so we can take her and our YJ out there.

That would be cool :-) Look for a red '99 XJ with visor and Star Wars, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Tigers decals.
