I make my stiffening holes smaller but more frequent and closer toghether. Does it make it easier to weld your way? I figured if I make a bunch of small holes (about 1/2") spread out I cover more surface area. Just asking if you have any method to your madness?

ya its easier to weld and less holes to drill. i thought about making smaller holes but decided against it because most the frame stiffners i have seen have had smaller holes that were about the same distance apart as mine. also there's a couple jeepspeed's with front frame stiffners that are pretty similar to mine so i figured if they can hold up on a jeepspeed then it will hold up on my pre-runner.

I guess if jeepspeed does it, I'll start making them that way.

What are you using to cut. Plasma?

I've seen jeepspeeds with holes drilled out similar to mine and some drilled out with 1/2" or 9/16" drill bits similar to what he offload sells but I wasn't going drill out that many holes.

Ya i used the plasma to cut out the plate and used a hole saw to cut the holes. Im probably going to get one of these pretty soon, it should make cutting holes alot easier.

i started mocking up my front 3 link and ran into a little problem, im shooting for about 6" to 7" of up travel up front but at about 4.5" of up travel my upper link mount starts running out of room. so it looks like im going to be building a shorter link bracket so i can get the up travel i want
