Man I have to say that sounds like a good price for a plasma cutter and it could be worth it. After going through like 5 cutting wheels to get the spring perches off and the shock mounts. We also had to cut some 1/4 steel strips to temporarily mount the u-bolts. All this would have been so much easier with a plasma cutter.

Edit: I'm helping my friend swap his D30 & D35 for some D60's. And throwing in a small block 350.

we just got our friends XJ rolling again last week, we sheared the dana 30 in half a couple years ago

im welding my upper 3 link brackets together today. i was hopping to have everything tacked together so i could run my numbers but unfortunatley it doesnt look likes thats gonna happen as my stock upper control arm bolts are rounded off so i have to drill them out.

it was, i couldnt pass the deal up and so far it was well worth the money.

finally an update

first i grabbed a piece of scrap 1.5" tube and cut it to 2 5/8" to help keep my brackets from warping.



the artec bracket all welded up.




ruffstuff's link bracket for the frame end.

haha ya, i almost grabbed a set of 4 wheel drive bronco beams for this thing the last time i was at the junkyard for half off day. but my brother talked me out of it

i cut the template out for my front frame stiffners today. I still have to do a little trimming, let me know what you guys think.



should i tie them into my other frame stiffners? i would just have to extend the end about an inch

That ruffstuff mount is beefy. Why not tie into the unirails?

Butt them together, then fishplate it, otherwise you create a weak spot that will be prone to cracking. And go buy those Bronco arms, a TTB rig can be badass if built right.

thats what i love about ruffstuff. honestly i have no reason not to time them together but was just curious what everyone else thought.

will do thanks. haha dont tempt me, at this point i just want to get this thing back on 4 wheels so i can take this thing in the dirt. TTB's may still be in my not so soon future when i possibly link it
