i got most of the wiring done


i also pulled the heater


and built a skid plate for my jack

today me and my brother wen to ventura and picked up some parts

i bought some deaver leafprings for 500 dollars



we also picked up a couple parker pumpers for the race "car"...we bought them for 200 bucks with 8' hoses

Today I decided to rake a break from the jeep and help my buddy work on his truck


But I did order up some spring perches for the ford 9" from ruffstuff

I finally made some progress on the jeep today.

I started by cutting two 6" pieces of 1.5 tube for the sleeves in my A pillar


then i drilled 1/2" hole in the a pillar



then i slid the sleeve into my A pillar


and bent up my new A pillar


drilled a hole in the floor to drop the new A pillar down to slid it over the sleeve


i mocked everything up and had a clearance issue but it was easily solved


before i welded the A pillar in i decided i should figure out where i was gonna tie my engine cage into my A pillar and drilled a hole where it should go through

It sounds like your a noob, but awesome work. Do you have a mentor or something? I'd love to get a tubing bender some day.

Ya this my first build and no I don't have a mentor just learning as I go and doing alot of research.....ya the tube bender was definitely worth the money

today me and my brother went to the miller offroad poduct offroad swapmeet and i picked up some jks manufacturing boomerang shackles for 50 bucks and a front diveshaft out of a TJ for 5 bucks

I want one really bad but 1200 is alot on a college budget haha. One more year.... keep up the good work though, looking forward to some updates

Ya I know what that's like im in college too but luckily I can split the cost of the tools with my brother....thanks I should be starting on the rear suspension real soon. Im just waiting for some parts I ordered from ruffstuff

got some parts today.

HD offroad engineering frame stiffners


ruffstuff's spring plates, shock tabs and U bolts



tomorrow im gonna start tearing the jeep apart so i can put the deavers and the 9" under it
